ABOUT

Samantha Puvanesarajah conducts molecular epidemiological research with a clinical focus. Her research examines breast cancer heterogeneity, screening, family history, and breast cancer biology.

RESEARCH SUMMARY

Puvanesarajah aims to improve breast cancer risk and prognostic models. Using breast tissue collected from Cancer Prevention Study (CPS)-II and -3 participants diagnosed with breast cancer, she studies risk factors for different breast cancer subtypes as well as molecular and histological characteristics of breast cancer. One of her projects involves integrating blood and tissue immune markers with CPS-3 survey data.
